The Best For Last - Where Are You?

Genesis 1
From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is full of stories that have a purpose, all of which are used to remember the wonderful things that God has done for us and to help us navigate through life with more ease. The stories teach us how God wants us to live and gives us real life examples through the lives of His people as we read about them.
While it’s so hard to pick a favorite, the story of the creation reminds us of how it all began.
In the beginning, there was nothing; everything was formless, and darkness covered the surface of everything. Only God existed. One day, God commanded that there should be light, and the light was created. On the first day of creation, God made night and day. On the second day, God created the sky to separate the waters.
On the third day, the creation of land and sea took place. He also commanded that the land produce vegetation and seed-bearing plants, and that they must all multiply according to their own kind. On the fourth day, God created the sun, the moon and the stars, in order to serve as markers for the day, the night, the years, and the sacred times. On the fifth day, God created all the living creatures in the sea and the air, and commanded that they should multiply according to their own kinds. On the sixth day, the creation of all the land animals was done, and he commanded them all to go forth and multiply across the earth, according to their own kind. Then, he formed man out of the dust of the earth and breathed life into him. From the rib of the man, he created the woman, and he gave man and woman authority over all the earth. God was pleased by all that He created, and on the seventh day, God rested.
Did you see that? Did you follow the story? Do you really understand?
God did not rest until mankind (YOU) were created. He literally saved the best for last. In my mind I can imagine that everyday as God got closer to the sixth day that He could hardly contain Himself. The sheer excitement in knowing that in just a few more days the initial “like” version of you would be created in His image. He would give you dominion over everything and everything was in divine order. This was God’s perfect and divine will.
But then there was SIN and the divine order was disrupted and God had to create a new plan to fix the original plan.
Question?
How often do we require God to recreate and rewrite the stories of our personal lives? Are we living in divine order or a state of disruption? Are we allowing God to be proud of His creation in us and rest as He watches us come into fruition? Or have we called Him back from His rest to re-do what was already perfectly and divinely orchestrated?
The question is: Where Are You?
Have we learned from the lessons of Adam and Eve? To follow God’s straight & strict commandments so that everything in our lives will remain in order? Or are we more concerned with our personal desires and self gratifications that we will do anything to please our flesh?
The question is: Where Are You?
Are we about His business for our lives? Vowing to remain on assignment, in purpose and pursuit of what the requirements are for our individual creation?
The question is: Where Are You?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I surrender my life to You, for I understand that it is not my own. I know without You I am nothing and can do nothing. I know my is Yours to work through me. Lord, I am grateful for this life You’ve given me. You’ve blessed me with different gifts and talents and I want to use them for Your divine order and glory. Help me understand how to cultivate those things that You have created in me to bring glory to your great name. I realize that You created me with purpose and have made provisions that I shall propser if I remain in the place of purpose. Help me remain aligned in You so that You can rest as I blossom into Your divine vision and version of me. Help me to be reminded that in creation, You saved the best for last…..when you created ME!
Amen ❤
