Let Every Anointed POSTURE (In Our Minds & In Our Spirits)
Thank God I’m STILL Here!
Isaiah 43:18-19 (ESV)
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Proverbs 4:25
Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Just like that the clock struck 12 and we have entered into a new year. Yes, the Earth has made its orbit around the Sun again for approximately 365 days, 8,765 hours, 526,000 minutes, and 31.6 million seconds. Although it does seem to me like we were doing this just a few months ago. [Does anybody else feel that way?] And if not just a few months ago, it certainly does not seem like it was a whole 12 months that has passed us by. I’m sorry, but I can’t get over the fact that it feels like it was January…..and then…..it was December.
But don’t get me wrong, the way last year went, I am certain that 12:00 am, January 1, 2021 could not have arrived a minute too soon for some. The year 2020, was a year like most of us has never seen and definitely never will forget. It was interruptive but very intentional. It was tumultuous but brought many of us to face our unadulterated truths. It was heartbreaking but heightened us in so many areas of our lives. It was chaotic but caused us to cherish the smaller and more important things in our lives. It was the year of the pandemic but in so many ways it was the year of the POSTURE. Yes, God repositioned us, renewed us, and redirected us in the most unassuming and unexpected ways.
It was a year that most of us symbolically deemed as the year of 20/20 vision. And although to many of us as clear as we had proclaimed our year would be, most of us will admit that we didn’t see any of what transpired coming our way. But here is what I am so grateful of…..that even in the wilderness, God does not get lost and lose His way! Nor does He lose His ability to re-posture us and yet still provide for and sustain us. My God, I feel a run in my spirit and you should too! Why? Because here we are right smack in the 1st week of the new year following a year that we had no idea of how we were going to make it out. But with a little faith and a lot of repositioning…..we can say…..we’ve made it! We’re STILL HERE!
The gospel group, the Williams brothers said it a little something like this:
Heartaches, I’ve had my shares of heartaches, but I’m still here
Trouble, I’ve had my share of troubles, but I’m still here
Bruises, I’ve taken my lumps and bruises, but I’m still here
Loneliness, I’ve had my share of loneliness, but I’m still here
Through it all, I’ve made it through
Another day’s journey
God kept me here
I’ve made it through
Another day’s journey
God kept me here
Yes 2020, may have beaten and bruised us, but THANK GOD we made it! We’re STILL HERE! And we are POSTURED in our minds & our spirits for our NEXT!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the lessons that the new positions of 2020 have taught us. Bless us so that we may always trust You no matter what and reflect Your posture. Because we understand that if You posture us, then we can through You also help posture and change the world. Help us to be reminded that our posture before You, each other, and those we are seeking to reach is of the utmost importance. Help us to be postured in our minds & in our spirits so that it may remain clean and pure. For a clean and pure vessel puts us in position to garner the abundance of fruit. Help us to be grateful no matter the circumstance and remain steadfast and postured in You. In Your Name we pray.
Amen!
