Answering the Call

July 18, 2020

As I sat in prayer and meditation this (Friday) morning, my mind focused in on praising God for who He is in my life.  My Savior, my provider, my healer, my deliverer, my redeemer, and so much more. The I AM that I AM!  God says He will be whatever we need Him to be in our lives.  If God is our heavenly Father, we’ve been granted access to ask Him for what we are seeking in Jesus’ Name. (John 14:13-14) But what does it mean to ask in the Name of Jesus?  When we pray in Jesus’ Name, we are praying with His authority and asking God to act upon our prayers.  We are praying in line with the will of God. And if it’s the will of God for our lives, He has no choice but to honor it. (1 John 5:115) The answer may not be in the way we think it should be, or come when we think it should come; nevertheless, it will be the right and on time answer. God is faithful!

When I was asked to consider writing, it came right after I had asked God, “what will You have me to do with what You have allowed me to accomplish?” The surprise was not in the answer, for that was just the confirmation, but in how quickly in which it came. I prayed that morning; the response came that evening.  Be ready when you ask!

I am humbled, yet grateful that God wants to use me for His glory.  He is my Shepherd.  Where He leads me, I will follow with less and less resistance, is my daily prayer. I am continuing to MATURE!

Father God, the GREAT I AM!  We could never be or do what You want us to without Your help.  Thank You for always being there, ready to step in to be what we need, when we get out of our own way and allow You to be God in our lives.  I am always so surreal to the fact that because You can use anyone or anything else, and yet You lovingly chooses to use me.  Thank You God. Please forgive me of the times I have disappointed You.  I want to always have a yes mentality without hesitation when it comes to You.  In Jesus Name, Amen!
